jazzy

I am in a bit of a state of disarray. My room is mental and my chest of drawers has literally collapsed (too many cardigans, clearly). I am recovering from a fab 46th birthday party with Trots, and am so glad that all the lovely guests came and grateful to Pat for saving us with cool music and to the boys for teaching me how to light a cigar and sorry for leaving said cigar out on the windowledge overnight. Very very very happy to see Pippa, K-dawg and Martin, and very very very sad that they've had to go away again. Massively entertained at the visit from the police during the party, with a hint of annoyance at the ridiculous neighbour who called them. Tiredness and punch wobbles and a fair amount of walking into walls, but also feeling ok and enjoyed a top quality sausage roll this morning, and a well good Vennels sesh with the lasses and Smartie. JJCR meeting funtimes and free crisps and being accosted by Subway woman and almost falling down the stairs in the same establishment. Congratulatoryness to C-Gough and Jude for various elections and slight guilt about not doing DUCK. Excited about housey film and pizza night tomorrow, and the commencement of '33 Come Dine With Me' on Sunday. Glad to see Jarvey back for a visit and looking forward to the return of all the lovelies for the Bailey Ball in a few weeks. Still enjoying Waterstones and looking forward to the Book Festival and working the evening that Jack Dee's here. Reading Julie Walters's autobiog and reserved John Barrowman's new one at the library and not reading The Rainbow because DH Lawrence is crap. Not done any lectures yet but enjoying skiving while I can and listening to new Regina Spektor which is goooooood. Very massive sadness at the realisation that we are all going to have to leave each other and go into the world at some stage, and that it is already happening, boo and hiss, and major love for those who have already gone away and are being brave in places that aren't Durham. And eating Harri's percy pigs on the landing and giggling at tartan banter, and the fact that Jones was eating macaroni cheese in the JJCR meeting. And going to sleep now.
