I'm gonna be lasered! Went to the hospital today for my second consultation, to meet the laser lady. In about 6-8 weeks I'll be having the first of about 6 sessions to get rid of the old acne scarring on my face. Will just reduce the redness but should be good. And free. Yay NHS. So each sesh will be about 6-8 weeks apart and once it gets to summer time I have to avoid the sun - shouldn't be too hard in this country. Bon.
Other than that, I had a traumatic trip to John Lewis to establish that I will have to pay for Noel (the camera) to be fixed, and am looking forward to a conversation with Panasonic in the morning telling me how much it will cost me. I have also been charged by Halifax cos forgot to transfer my rent money, grr. Silly me. And was traumatised by a trip to Marco Polo with my mum - the food and surroundings and everything was really very nice indeed, but completely different to how it was! And although by the end it went manky and a bit crap, I am sad at the loss of our favourite place when we were little, with all the crazy fisherman paraphernalia on the walls and the mental chianti bottles with multi-coloured candle wax all over them, and the cheesy italian waiters... sad times. Although it's probably for the best that there are now no rats in the kitchens (I hope).
Bailey Ball weekend was a hoot, and once again was super-wondrous to see Kathryn and Martin, and lovely Beth who also came up. Majorly impressed with the decorations and the food, and the entertainment was also top-notch (Improvised Musical is my new favourite thing, Nikki 'Big Mama' Jones), although it didn't last long enough through the night and I am ashamed to say I didn't survive til the end. Neither did my housemates though (apart from Trots) so it could be worse. We also spent Sunday morning forgetting to observe 11am remembrance minute and watching the drama at the riverside when they found a body. Very sad times.
Things to look forward to this week - Lil's seminar tomorrow (haha), Murder in the Cathedral on Thursday, JJCR meeting of drama on Friday. WORK all Friday and weekend, I feel like I literally do nothing but sleep, eat porridge, and Waterstones.
On the bright side, mother has booked tickets for us and Luke to see Dara O'Briain in April. WOOP.
