shame

I did not listen to any of the warnings re: work Christmas parties. Well, I mean, I did - there was no drunken groping round the back of the Three Tuns or anything like that. But in terms of WINE oh my god. Today has not been good and needless to say I did not make it into work at 9am. Or at any hour of the day. I feel really really bad about it as I bet everyone else who had to work made it in. But I am really finding out my limits and geuinely considering giving up alochol (or majorly cutting back) for the new year. I think cutting it out completely would probably just not work (rose evening without rose is unthinkable), but cutting back I think would be a plan. I will start now. Apart from the planned grappa night, that doesn't count. It's Christmas!

Was a fun evening though, despite crap service and mediocre food at the Three Tuns. It was nice to see everyone in their normal clothes and relaxing, fun times. Plus some of the funniest dancing I have EVER witnessed took place, which was what I had been hoping for.

In other news, I have yet to decide on a dissertation topic or indeed any essay titles, or do any Greek, but I am reasonably fine about it. There are some plums on my desk that have been there for several weeks now but which also seem fine. Interesting.

I might have to go and lie down now.

  1. Finding out your limits of alochol? Oh dear Danielle! Maybe it is time to cut back, but I'm sure you don't need to cut it out entirely. Glad you had fun times :D Want me to create you a dissertation title? I think that could be mildly entertaining. Also, good procrastination for me.

Are they the same plums as were there when I visited? Maybe you should dry them out and repulse LG. xxx
