eleven

OK so it is now 2011 and it's about time I sorted my blogging life out. As you may have noticed, the whole 31 day challenge thing did not go that well. Eight days in (which took much, much longer than eight actual days) and it's over. Such is life. At least it ended on Phil Collins's face, so there's some consolation there.

Eleven is my lucky number so I'm hoping that this year is going to be ok. The end of 2010 and very beginning of this year were shit for almost everyone I know and love, seriously like an epidemic of utter crapness everywhere. But some little good things have occurred too and now I'm moving to West Sussex on Saturday. Cancer Research UK are getting my services for three months and no pay. But it will be exciting and hopefully fun, and I'm moving in with a nice young couple and their cat in Three Bridges, near Crawley (a town to which I have never been). All this means that my last shift at Waterstone's is on Thursday, which is a bit sad but not really. I'll miss my discount, and some people there, but not the work and the boredom and the endless shuffling around. In Horsham (where my CR office is) I get my own desk, which implies sitting down, so the job is already way ahead of Waterstone's. Apart from the whole 'voluntary' aspect. Looking for a weekend job to sustain me and keep me in milkybar desserts but no transfer from Waterstone's means a few days of trawling the town centre with a load of CVs. Lush. In general though: excited.

Going to eat me some apple pie and watch me some gypsies on the telly.
