books

I am loving working at the 'Stones. It is well friendly and they are all looking after me, which is very nice. I am writing this in the midst of a music-off between Helen and Jude, from which the team of Jude + Shakira is clearly winning. I am playing the Never Ending Story theme at top volume and trying to ignore them. Anyway, I am enjoying being looked after and working for organised people, it is pleasing. Hoping I get the hang of the weird computer system fairly soon as I don't like to keep asking. Sure it'll be fine after tomorrow, another full day. It's appealing to my orderly side, I could literally look at the neatly arranged books all day. I don't know how they do it, it's amazing. Soon I will be let in on the secret. I am official stickerer at the moment, there's no better job. I am also wanting to buy loads of books. Had a bit of an amazon spree this evening, looking forward to lots of parcels arriving (as well as a retro Snoopy clock I got off ebay today, yeahhhh). Just finished reading The Secret Life Of Bees (Sue Monk Kidd), seriously good and recommended.

Life in the house is good, lots of opinionated news watching, including our love/hate relationship with Gordon Brown (I want to cuddle him, Jude does not, Helen feels sorry for him). My porridge exploded in the microwave this evening to my MASSIVE displeasure, not a nice substance to scrape out of an appliance.

More soon. My new glasses are arriving on Thursday, and I'm getting my hair cut finally, so things are looking up (although not on the finances front - I laugh in your face, overdraft). Also have to go to Hide at some point to tell them they haven't paid me enough - that'll make them like me again... ANYWAY I am now going to think of some things to prepare for reviewing of new Fishtank tomorrow - argh. My mum says look at the toilets. She knows everything.

EDIT: today on 'Waterstones Spotted!' (hereon known as W-SPOTTED) we have: MCR Benedict, Roger Walton, Miss Stevie Martin, Graham of sharing with Ozzy in first year fame, Vivian Lai, and Sue Hobson. Quite a mix.
