Well SCORE. Today has been pretty good on the news front. Apart from a blip this morning when I checked my bank account and seem to have been paid lots less for working at Hide than I think it should have been (will deal with it later), I have heard two very good things.
This morning I went to the RVI (which by the way is the prettiest hospital I have ever been in. I know that sounds weird but I think old school victorian decor is the way forward! I know it would make me feel better. Plus the statue of Queen Victoria when she was young is coooool). I had an apointment with the Plastics (NOT for reductions of anywhere thank you EVERYONE who I told), but re: acne scarring on the old face. Nice Doctor seems to think laser is the way forward and has referred me to Laser Doctor. This is good, if she thinks it's worth it then this might really sort out the skin. Yay. It does mean that when I get it done though that I will have burned peely and utterly gross skin for about two weeks, which will be hilarious. But I can handle it. And as Helen pointed out, "it will be worth it" (thanks for the love).
Secondo, this afternoon I got a phone call from Waterstones telling me I got the job I was interviewed for on Wednesday (ahaa yes I didn't tell you, just in case I didn't get it. I might have told you had I not got it, but I am glad this isn't going to be a complete litany of failures). ANYHOW it's a Christmas job so only til New Year but will be lots of hours and I start on Monday! Means I am going back to Durham on Sunday, which will be nice although I was just starting to settle back into being at home again. Too much to-ing and fro-ing this holiday. Anyway yay for money and a job in a nice place. Nicer than Hide. Hahaa.
Oh ALSO, my new glasses should be in tomorrow. And the Jack Frost candles were in the shop today (best smell ever, like white chocolate peppermints). And I've got the Secret Life of Bees to read. Many blessings to count.

I want new glasses, but probably shouldn't be throwing money around too much, at least until I get another job and especially as I am a victim of fraud. Long story.
ReplyDeleteCool news about the lasering. My mum always used to be on at me to get blue light treatment for my shoulders. They're not so bad now, but there is some scarring. Hope it works out well and hope the lasers are a little gentler than the ones they used to remove hair from my legs. Helen is right though, no pain, no gain.
Hope Waterstones is going well. There's one opening in Morpeth so might apply too.
Big Love
